To date, Ducks for Cancer has donated $30,000 to Pink Revolution. Thank you Mike Foley for making a real difference in the lives of our cancer patients!

Mike's Story

In 2017, Mike Foley, the visionary behind Ducks for Cancer, faced the daunting diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Despite enduring multiple surgeries and treatments that forced him to step away from his role as a Software Engineer, Mike's resilient spirit persevered. Following a period of over two years spent in bed, he embarked on a transformative journey.

Recognizing the need to give back after receiving an outpouring of love, prayers, and support during his cancer battle, Mike established a 501(c)3 organization. Drawing inspiration from the wooden ducks crafted by his father for cherished gifts during his childhood, Mike began crafting replicas with a purpose.

Devoting his time to handcrafting and painting each wooden duck in his home workshop in Pepperell, MA, Mike's creations serve a dual mission. He produces thousands of ducks, with half of the proceeds donated to one of three charities, including Pink Revolution. The remaining funds are dedicated to securing materials for the continuous creation of these symbolic ducks.

In this one-man show, Mike Foley's dedication echoes louder than the quacks of his handcrafted ducks, as he turns adversity into a force for good, making a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.
