Team Pink Revolution did it! We braved the frigid temps, icy and snow covered sidewalks in honor of all of the BRAVE cancer patients who are fighting their fight. Today was about community, friendship, fresh air, exercise and meeting new friends and walking a 5k…. All while raising just over $1900 for cancer. The icing on the cake was that we were granted with two awards by the United Way. We received second place for Most Funds Raised and the same for Most Team Spirit. What a great surprise that was! Thank you to our friend Susan Bradley Holroyd for coordinating this team for us!!! Great job.
Just shy of 100 patients will now not have the worry about how they are going to fill their gas tank to get to chemo! They will lay their head on their pillow tonight knowing that the anxiety of skipping treatment is no longer at least for the next chemo treatment.
